When Craig Mennie fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peterculter's protests and gave Craig Mennie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Peterculter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Craig Mennie to maneuver through the defense. Sean Brownson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Neil Clarkson having to make a save. In the 27th minute, Bob McCarter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Seaview United's zone, Jason Leslie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur McCluskie came out of the goal and Jason Leslie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Neish in the 31st minute of play forced Seaview United's goalkeeper Arthur McCluskie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, James Neish dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arthur McCluskie, 2-1. Sean Brownson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neil Clarkson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob McCarter in the 42nd minute of play. Arthur McCluskie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jason Leslie in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The supporters of Seaview United booed when Peterculter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fergus Weaver didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sean Brownsons short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Neil Clarkson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arthur McCluskie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Neish in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Peterculter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fergus Weaver to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Seaview United's Neil Clarkson threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bob McCarter, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arthur McCluskie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Neish in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Seaview United getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Tam O'Shannaig hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Peterculter's Luke McHendry got a free kick in the 91st minute. Neil Clarkson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob McCarter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Seaview United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Peterculter.
