After 33 minutes of play Peterculter's Fergus Weaver was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Peterculter's Fergus Weaver got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Darvel City's Tommy Gardner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Neil Clarkson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Darvel City's Simon Swan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Neil Clarkson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Darvel City's Bruce Bell got his second yellow card of the match in the 45th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Swan made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Larry Docharty sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Neil Clarkson skillfully saved the ball. Jason Leslie had several of the Darvel City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Peter Huntly as he didn't even see the shot coming. Simon Swan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Neil Clarkson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Darvel City's Larry Docharty got a free kick in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jason Leslie in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal.
