Gus Duncan started the match with the kick off. Gus Duncan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Harold McVinish tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Dublin Polar Bears FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Spence. The audience was convinced that Kyle Fyfe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harold McVinish was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Kyle Fyfe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Harold McVinish tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gus Duncan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harold McVinish having to interfere. If Innes McLergain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dublin Polar Bears FC booed when Craighouse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kieran Gibb didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christopher Carson scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenny Cousland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kyle Fyfe in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harold McVinish prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Dublin Polar Bears FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Fyfe came free, but Harold McVinish reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenny Cousland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christopher Carson in the 38th minute. Harold McVinish made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Duncan in the 40th minute of play. Harold McVinish took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Gaunson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Innes McKendrick during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Craighouse's Innes McKendrick got a free kick in the 48th minute. Christopher Carson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 49thth minute, Kenny Cousland skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Kyle Fyfe was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Craighouse's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Paul McVanish kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Carson in the 79th minute of play forced Craighouse's goalkeeper Kenny Cousland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Craighouse's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Carson came free, but Kenny Cousland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th match minute, Craighouse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry McNish to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Innes McLergain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dublin Polar Bears FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Innes McLergain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenny Cousland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
