Seating: 1807, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jeremy Watt made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 8 minutes, Nathan Tonnochy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kinross's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathan Tonnochy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Rangers FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Taylor McAlister hit a great ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Jeremy Watt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kinross's John Beton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Douglas Donaldson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darren McNuyer was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Ronnie McGilvray blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without John Beton having to make a save. In the 18th minute, Jeremy Watt made a precise shot to the right of John Beton. Kinross's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Kinross:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rangers FC:s goal. 28 minutes into the match, Alexander McLeister had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John Beton. Kinross's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander McLeister was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Graeme Beattie kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Ronnie McGilvray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Beton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Beton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronnie McGilvray in the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Graeme Beattie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kinross's supporters rose to their feet, but Graeme Beattie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darren McNuyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
Timothy McIlrevie hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Vinny Buntain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Lewis Balmer came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Kinross fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lewis Balmer couldn't finish the play. Darren McNuyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Tonnochy in the 63rd minute of the match. Nathan Tonnochy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Darren McNuyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronnie McGilvray who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of John Beton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kinross's John Beton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremy Watt in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Nathan Tonnochy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kinross's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathan Tonnochy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronnie McGilvrays short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got John Beton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Ronnie McGilvray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute of the match Timothy McIlrevie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but John Beton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 91st minute, Ronnie McGilvray left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rangers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The Kinross manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Rangers FC to win.
