Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) Craig Tawse's late challenge caught a Golspie City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Craig Tawse helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Golspie City booed when Burntisland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Craig Tawse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vincent Reidfurd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher McClymont read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Patrick McRobb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin McMurdoch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timmy McLachlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher McClymont having to interfere. Aaron Jameson scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christopher McClymont, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamin McMurdoch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick McRobb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 45 minutes, Timmy McLachlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burntisland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timmy McLachlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Golspie City's goal looked a bit too open when Timmy McLachlan came free, but Benjamin McMurdoch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timmy McLachlan to make the kick off. Timmy McLachlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin McMurdoch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Golspie City's zone, Timmy McLachlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin McMurdoch came out of the goal and Timmy McLachlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick McRobb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick McRobb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin McMurdoch having to interfere. If Timmy McLachlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aaron Jameson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher McClymont read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Christopher McClymont took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Reidfurd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Burntisland's Christopher McClymont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Jameson in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Burntisland's goalkeeper Christopher McClymont, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aaron Jameson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 played minutes Burntisland got a freekick which was hit by Craig Tawse. In the 86th minute of the match Calum Stark sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christopher McClymont skillfully saved the ball. In the 93rd minute Vincent Reidfurd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher McClymont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron Jameson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christopher McClymont having to make a save. In the 96th match minute, Burntisland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo McThomas to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Jameson struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Christopher McClymont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golspie City. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Burntisland eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
