Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 0) Edmond Barbor made the kick off and thus started the match. Ronnie McGilvray struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Ross McGrath didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rangers FC. Duncan McChlerich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Darren McNuyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edmond Barbor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duncan McChlerich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronnie McGilvray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ross McGrath having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Edmond Barbor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duncan McChlerich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Darren McNuyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremy Watt was the one to do the kick off. Duncan McChlerich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmond Barbor in the 58th minute of play forced Rangers FC's goalkeeper Darren McNuyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jeremy Watt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 63rd minute Duncan McChlerich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren McNuyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmond Barbor in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darren McNuyer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Taylor McAlister during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Taylor McAlister. 78 minutes into the match, Duncan McChlerich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Darren McNuyer. Rangers FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duncan McChlerich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 82 minutes, Edmond Barbor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardgay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmond Barbor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darren McNuyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan McChlerich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Ardgay's goalkeeper Ross McGrath had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronnie McGilvray. If Duncan McChlerich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duncan McChlerich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Duncan McChlerich made a precise shot to the right of Darren McNuyer. Rangers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Ardgay players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
