Spectators: 6793 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nathan Tonnochy started the match with the kick off. John Beton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liam Reid in the 4th minute of play. When Iain McKeamish came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Linlithgow City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iain McKeamish couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Linlithgow City defense, Nathan Tonnochy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danny Downie. The Linlithgow City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danny Downie should have stopped the shot. Tim Buckley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Danny Downie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nathan Tonnochy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Linlithgow City's zone, Tim Buckley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Downie came out of the goal and Tim Buckley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danny Downie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Tonnochy in the 24th minute of the match. Liam Reid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Nathan Tonnochy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Downie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kinross booed when Linlithgow City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc McKelloch didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes Linlithgow City got a freekick which was hit by Iain McKeamish. Kinross's Davie McGilchrist couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Linlithgow City. The Linlithgow City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kinross were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liam Reid to make the kick off. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Nathan Tonnochy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Danny Downie. Nathan Tonnochy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Linlithgow City's zone, Tim Buckley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Downie came out of the goal and Tim Buckley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Jordan King ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Beton was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Danny Downie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathan Tonnochy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Downie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Tonnochy in the 92nd minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Linlithgow City got a freekick which was hit by Jordan King.
