Ross McGrath made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jordan King in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Ardgay's Edmond Barbor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danny Downie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Linlithgow City getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Iain McKeamish hit a great ball. Duncan McChlerich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Downie having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmond Barbor in the 49th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danny Downie saved Linlithgow City from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Liam Reid made a kick off. Danny Downie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmond Barbor in the 55th minute of the match. Edmond Barbor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Duncan McChlerich came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ardgay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duncan McChlerich couldn't finish the play. Guy Gallie kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Edmond Barbor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Linlithgow City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Ardgay. Nicol Arbuckle stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Danny Downie. 0-2. Iain McKeamish recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jordan King received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ross McGrath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jordan King in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ross McGrath saved Ardgay from getting behind. If Jordan King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Linlithgow City's Liam Reid got a free kick in the 95th minute. Danny Downie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmond Barbor in the 98th minute of the match. Ardgay's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
