Vincent Reidfurd ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Ardgay's zone, Vincent Reidfurd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ross McGrath came out of the goal and Vincent Reidfurd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duncan McChlerich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Golspie City's Benjamin McMurdoch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond Barbor in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Golspie City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremy Piper to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duncan McChlerich in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin McMurdoch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmond Barbor might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin McMurdoch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmond Barbor ran back to his position shaking his head. Duncan McChlerich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin McMurdoch having to interfere. When Ardgay's Edmond Barbor in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Golspie City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute Edmond Barbor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin McMurdoch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Golspie City defense, Edmond Barbor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin McMurdoch. The Golspie City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin McMurdoch should have stopped the shot. After having played for 47 minutes, Aaron Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golspie City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Jameson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmond Barbor was the one to do the kick off. Benjamin McMurdoch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmond Barbor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Golspie City's Benjamin McMurdoch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond Barbor in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Golspie City's zone, Edmond Barbor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin McMurdoch came out of the goal and Edmond Barbor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ardgay's Ross McGrath played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory McCanish in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ardgay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Calum Stark was slow to take the kick. During this time Golspie City's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Calum Stark almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ardgay's Ross McGrath did a great save. Aaron Jameson might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ross McGrath. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aaron Jameson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute Vincent Reidfurd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ross McGrath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Andrew Wood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ross McGrath didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vincent Reidfurd went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 88 minutes into the game, Edmond Barbor recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benjamin McMurdoch. Edmond Barbor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Ross McGrath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Jameson, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Ardgay's Ross McGrath played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Reidfurd in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Reidfurd in the 97th minute of play forced Ardgay's goalkeeper Ross McGrath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Golspie City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ardgay's performance. The match ended with a win for Ardgay.
