A collision led to Hamilton getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Aidan McGillivour hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Drummore's Benjamín Siña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucas Fowler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Charlie Corstorphine's late challenge caught a Hamilton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charlie Corstorphine helped the player get up and apologised. Hamilton's Charlie Cross shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ben Laidlaw but with some difficulty. The supporters of Hamilton booed when Drummore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Gillespie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Fowler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George McWhirter, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Vincent Niven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hamilton's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincent Niven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Laidlaw breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Drummore's Benjamín Siña got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jack McVurich was the one to do the kick off. Benjamín Siña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Fowler having to interfere. Drummore's Ben Laidlaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Niven in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Hamilton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Niven to maneuver through the defense. Benjamín Siña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Fowler having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Joseph McIssac left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 80th minute, Benjamín Siña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucas Fowler made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Benjamín Siña sent off a good shot on target. Troy McIssac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Drummore's Lucas Fowler threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benjamín Siña, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Benjamín Siña came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Drummore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamín Siña couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Drummore's Troy McIssac ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucas Fowler. Lucas Fowler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Hamilton were victorious despite being under pressure from Drummore for much of the match.
