Seating: 1804, VIP seats: 0) Jeremy McKinney made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Eyemouth AFC's Ewan McCutcheon got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Andrews in the 5th minute of play forced Jedburgh's goalkeeper Patrick McIlvrae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick McIlvrae didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrick Andrews went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 13th minute Ryan McNamell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick McIlvrae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremy McKinney in the 17th minute of play forced Eyemouth AFC's goalkeeper Blair Rose to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremy McKinney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blair Rose having to interfere. Eyemouth AFC's Blair Rose played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremy McKinney in the 22nd minute of play. Marc McKean struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Blair Rose didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jedburgh. The supporters of Eyemouth AFC booed when Jedburgh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremy McKinney didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Patrick Andrews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Patrick Andrews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick McIlvrae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Eyemouth AFC booed when Jedburgh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dean Morris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blair Rose made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marc McKean in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute Patrick Andrews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick McIlvrae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Andrews made a kick off. Ryan McNamell struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Ryan McNamell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eyemouth AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryan McNamell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ryan McNamell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ryan McNamell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Jeremy McKinney left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jedburgh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Nigel Berry kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marc McKean in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blair Rose saved Eyemouth AFC from getting behind. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jedburgh's goalkeeper Patrick McIlvrae, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Marc McKean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jedburgh's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc McKean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blair Rose breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
