After a rather tough play, Glasgow Poland Team's Sid Casey got a free kick in the 6th minute. Peter Booth charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Booth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Glasgow Poland Team getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Peter Booth hit a great ball. Theo Millar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ivan Sandison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gareth McMichael blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Sandison having to make a save. Ivan Sandison stood somewhat misplaced when Gareth McMichael came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. Gareth McMichael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Rod McVail hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Sandison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gareth McMichael in the 35th minute of play. Hamish Barton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Scott McLintock in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute Gareth McMichael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Sandison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Scott McLintock to strike the kick off in the second half. If James McGeachin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Gareth McMichael left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anstruther fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hamish Barton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Millar in the 88th minute of play forced Glasgow Poland Team's goalkeeper Ivan Sandison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chris McAngus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anstruther's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
