Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Hamish Barton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregor McCeallaich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 4 minutes, Gareth McMichael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anstruther's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gareth McMichael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Timothy McGrewar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Hamish Barton made a huge save. Thomas McBrieve hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Eric Fletcher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gareth McMichael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The wind increased when Gareth McMichael made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Theo Millar made a precise shot to the right of Nicky Lean. Ciaran Dunbar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Real Madrid FC's zone, Rod McVail stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicky Lean came out of the goal and Rod McVail tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anstruther's Theo Millar got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Theo Millar came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Anstruther fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theo Millar couldn't finish the play. Aidan Carruthers kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Timothy McGrewar's late challenge caught a Anstruther's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timothy McGrewar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Real Madrid FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Timothy McGrewar hit a great ball. Nicky Lean was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nicol Crum. Gregor McCeallaich's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamish Barton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Anstruther left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Real Madrid FC.
