Anstruther's Hamish Barton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Armour in the 5th minute of play. Theo Millar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Stuart McNiven made a huge save. After 16 minutes, Greig McGilbert made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Anstruther's Hamish Barton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee gave Lochailort FC a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aiden Adkins, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Anstruther's Hamish Barton. 0-2. Nathan Yule struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Stuart McNiven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anstruther. Lochailort FC's Stuart McNiven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Collins in the 34th minute of play. If Theo Millar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Innes Mathie kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Lochailort FC's goalkeeper Stuart McNiven had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theo Millar.

Gareth McMichael's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stuart McNiven read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Anstruther got a freekick which was hit by Theo Millar. Rod McVail hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Lochailort FC's Walter Armour dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Greig McGilberts short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Hamish Barton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anstruther's Gareth McMichael got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hamish Barton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Greig McGilbert went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Ter McTaggart hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Gareth McMichael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walter Armour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Hamish Barton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Greig McGilbert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lochailort FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Gareth McMichael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Stuart McNiven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lochailort FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
