Nicky Lean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Greig McGilbert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Nicky Lean was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 12 minutes into the match, Real Madrid FC's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Armour came free, but Nicky Lean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Greig McGilbert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicky Lean. Greig McGilbert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Greig McGilbert's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Nicky Lean skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Real Madrid FC's Nicky Lean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Armour in the 19th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Walter Armour who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Madrid FC's Nicky Lean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Walter Armour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Real Madrid FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Greig McGilbert fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Greig McGilbert hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes, Greg McCraw mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Madrid FC and the Lochailort FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Real Madrid FC got a freekick which was hit by Greg McCraw. Greig McGilbert scored 3-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicky Lean, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Daniel Fullarton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Fullarton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stuart McNiven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 played minutes Lochailort FC got a freekick which was hit by Aiden Adkins. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Stuart McNiven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregor McCeallaich, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Timothy McGrewar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madrid FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lochailort FC the free kick. A collision led to Real Madrid FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Timothy McGrewar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor McCeallaich in the 64th minute of play forced Lochailort FC's goalkeeper Stuart McNiven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Fletcher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Stuart McNiven made a huge save. After having played for 66 minutes, Gregor McCeallaich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregor McCeallaich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gregor McCeallaich blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stuart McNiven having to make a save. Greig McGilbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Lean having to interfere. If Eric Fletcher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Timothy McGrewar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stuart McNiven made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Fletcher in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute of the match Real Madrid FC got a corner. Lochailort FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Fullarton ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gregor McCeallaich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stuart McNiven having to interfere. Nicky Lean didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Greig McGilbert went, in the 100th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Real Madrid FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lochailort FC.
