Stewart Bone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Will Kennethson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Stewart Bone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Invergordon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Johnny Blain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Will Kennethson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Invergordon getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Anthony Masterson hit a great ball. If Johnny Blain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kenneth Swan was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Eric McWhannell capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eric McWhannell really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2.

The wind increased when Eric McWhannell made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Invergordon's zone, Connor Crombie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Swan came out of the goal and Connor Crombie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Invergordon's Wally Kerracher got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 65th minute, Johnny Blain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stewart Bone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Will Kennethson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Thomas Kerr fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪'s protests and gave Thomas Kerr a yellow card for diving instead. Eric McWhannell might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Swan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric McWhannell ran back to his position shaking his head. Invergordon's Stewart Bone got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johnny Blain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Kennethson having to interfere. In the 84th minute Johnny Blain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Will Kennethson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stewart Bone succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3.
