Spectators: 6810 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1810, VIP seats: 0) Sid Cross started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 8 minutes into the game, Johnny Blain recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marc McCraken. Johnny Blain showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 11th minute, Robbie Arthur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johnny Blain in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marc McCraken saved Glasgow from getting behind. A collision led to Glasgow getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Phil McBeth hit a great ball. Johnny Blain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marc McCraken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Johnny Blain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Invergordon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnny Blain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Glasgow's Marc McCraken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Glasgow from getting a goal against them. Johnny Blain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Cross in the 27th minute of play forced Invergordon's goalkeeper Kenneth Swan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc McCraken made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stewart Bone in the 38th minute. Logan McCutchen's late challenge caught a Invergordon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Logan McCutchen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Glasgow getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Logan McCutchen hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Wally Kerracher sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Glasgow's Marc McCraken didn't even have to move. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Logan McCutchen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Glasgow's Logan McCutchen got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute Johnny Blain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc McCraken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Harold McCodrum came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Glasgow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harold McCodrum couldn't finish the play. When Stewart Bone came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Invergordon fans jumped to their feet. In the 60th minute, Johnny Blain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Harold McCodrum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Johnny Blain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marc McCraken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Johnny Blain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 77 minutes, Johnny Blain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Invergordon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnny Blain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 played minutes Glasgow got a freekick which was hit by Wally Purcell. Johnny Blain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marc McCraken having to make a save. The supporters of Glasgow booed when Invergordon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally Kerracher didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Invergordon's Johnny Blain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marc McCraken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Invergordon's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
