Spectators: 6814 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 0) Raymond McCaa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irvin McKintosh in the 6th minute of play forced Invergordon's goalkeeper Kenneth Swan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raymond McCaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johnny Blain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Roddie McGrory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronald Clarkson hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Stewart Bone scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roddie McGrory, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Fraserburgh's Roddie McGrory got control of the ball when Hamish McVeagh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Irvin McKintosh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Kenneth Swan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Johnny Blain came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Invergordon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnny Blain couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Invergordon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johnny Blain to strike the kick off in the second half. Johnny Blain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roddie McGrory having to interfere. Stewart Bone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roddie McGrory having to interfere. The supporters of Invergordon booed when Fraserburgh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Constable didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Invergordon's Wally Kerracher tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Raymond McCaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Invergordon's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond McCaa came free, but Kenneth Swan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnny Blain took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roddie McGrory. Roddie McGrory dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Johnny Blain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roddie McGrory made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Blain in the 89th minute of play. Stewart Bone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Roddie McGrory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ronald Clarkson fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fraserburgh's protests and gave Ronald Clarkson a yellow card for diving instead. Ronald Clarkson kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
