Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) Murray McCansh started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Stevie McGorry came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Dunoon's Jacob Suttie. But to his dismay, Jacob Suttie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dunoon's Charles Boyd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Dunoon from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Clackmannan's Harry McGrath got a free kick in the 16th minute. Calum Blair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Boyd having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Calum Blair had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charles Boyd. Dunoon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calum Blair was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Suttie in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stevie McGorry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacob Suttie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie McGorry having to interfere. Charles Boyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Connelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Matt Risk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dunoon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clackmannan the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Connelly in the 45th minute of play forced Dunoon's goalkeeper Charles Boyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 49th minute Jacob Suttie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie McGorry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Clackmannan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dunoon were winning 1-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mark Connelly to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Connelly in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Boyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stevie McGorry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murray McCansh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Calum Blair came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Clackmannan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calum Blair couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Dunoon getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Matt Risk hit a great ball. Mark Connelly might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles Boyd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mark Connelly ran back to his position shaking his head. Dunoon's Charles Boyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calum Blair in the 71st minute of play. Charles Boyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calum Blair in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Clackmannan booed when Dunoon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norman Cleland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Wally McCaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Dunoon's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Connelly came free, but Charles Boyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Calum Blair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calum Blair in the 91st minute of play forced Dunoon's goalkeeper Charles Boyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Calum Blair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stuart Bell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie McGorry having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dunoon walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
