Joshua McKiggan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Whannell having to interfere. Kenny Duffus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kenny Duffus struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Christopher Whannell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Celtic Football Club. 21 minutes into the match, Livingston's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny Duffus came free, but Christopher Whannell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Troy McGilvray was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Alisdair McRaith capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alisdair McRaith really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, The Celtic Football Club's Theo Lyall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christopher Whannell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alisdair McRaith fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Livingston's protests and gave Alisdair McRaith a yellow card for diving instead. When Joshua McKiggan came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the The Celtic Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua McKiggan couldn't finish the play. Troy McGilvray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alisdair McRaith in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Livingston's Mike Harold ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Troy McGilvray. Troy McGilvray yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 38th minute, Greg Forrester made a precise shot to the right of Troy McGilvray. The Celtic Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When Lloyd Hill fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Livingston's protests and gave Lloyd Hill a yellow card for diving instead. Lloyd Hill kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joshua McKiggan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Troy McGilvray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Harold in the 51st minute of the match. If Mike Harold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alisdair McRaith's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Troy McGilvray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Christopher Whannell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua McKiggan, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Greg Forrester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Livingston's supporters rose to their feet, but Greg Forrester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Troy McGilvray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Alisdair McRaith made a precise shot to the right of Troy McGilvray. The Celtic Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. If Mike Harold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Celtic Football Club's goalkeeper Troy McGilvray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Troy McGilvray came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Livingston's Mike Harold. But to his dismay, Mike Harold quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Alisdair McRaith got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 74 minutes into the match, Livingston's Greg Forrester sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Troy McGilvray narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alex Esson kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Mike Harold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Troy McGilvray having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Jack Dunbar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mike Harold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Troy McGilvray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lloyd Hill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Troy McGilvray having to interfere. Livingston's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
