Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alisdair McRaith made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alisdair McRaith in the 4th minute of play forced Glasgow City's goalkeeper Ivan Meikleham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Livingston's Lloyd Hill nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Meikleham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bob McInstalker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivan Meikleham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alisdair McRaith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raymond McFarquhar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Finlay Weaver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Whannell having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Lloyd Hill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Livingston's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glasgow City the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Livingston:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Glasgow City:s goal. In the 34th minute, Mike Harold ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Meikleham was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 37th minute Alisdair McRaith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Meikleham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glasgow City's Ivan Meikleham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Harold in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Alisdair McRaith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Meikleham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Meikleham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Harold in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute Lloyd Hill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Meikleham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Meikleham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob McInstalker, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Roy Piper fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Glasgow City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Livingston the free kick. After a rather tough play, Glasgow City's Edmond McIock got a free kick in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Finlay Weaver made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lloyd Hill in the 53rd minute of play forced Glasgow City's goalkeeper Ivan Meikleham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lloyd Hill kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Livingston's goal looked a bit too open when Finlay Weaver came free, but Christopher Whannell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roy Piper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christopher Whannell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Finlay Weaver's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The supporters of Livingston booed when Glasgow City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Philipson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Mike Harold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Livingston's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Harold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Meikleham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Livingston's Greg Forrester slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ivan Meikleham. That made the score 1-3 after 73 minutes of play. Ivan Meikleham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob McInstalker, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Glasgow City's goal looked a bit too open when Alisdair McRaith came free, but Ivan Meikleham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Greg Forrester got free with Ivan Meikleham in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 80 played minutes Glasgow City got a freekick which was hit by Raymond McFarquhar. 81 minutes into the game, Alisdair McRaith lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Ivan Meikleham. 86 minutes into the match, Glasgow City's goalkeeper Ivan Meikleham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Greg Forrester. With a little luck, Glasgow City's Ivan Meikleham got control of the ball when Mike Harold tried to sneak it across the goal line. Greg Forrester could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Ivan Meikleham made a huge save. Ivan Meikleham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lloyd Hill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Meikleham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alisdair McRaith, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Livingston's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
