Spectators: 6843 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. But to his dismay, Elliot Yuille quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind celtic fc's goalkeeper Rick Ogilvie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Eddie Aitcheson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Greig Blain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shane Broom in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, celtic fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cameron Forest to maneuver through the defense. Ben Fox's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Rick Ogilvie skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Paddy McGeoch charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paddy McGeoch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Tain City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paddy McGeoch to maneuver through the defense. Greig Blain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliot Yuille in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tain City's goalkeeper Greig Blain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Greig Blain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Yuille, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shane Broom to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Tain City's Greig McConnach seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Greig McConnach the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tain City protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Greig McConnach had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 54 minutes into the game, one of Tain City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddie Roy during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Eddie Roy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ben Fox came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Tain City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Fox couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Elliot Yuille left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The celtic fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Greig Blain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shane Broom, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, celtic fc's Shane Broom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Greig Blain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ben Fox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elliot Yuille took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Greig Blain. Greig Blain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Elliot Kerracher received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Greig Blain came out and tried to block the shot, but Elliot Kerracher slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 86th minute. After 91 played minutes celtic fc got a freekick which was hit by Elliot Kerracher. When celtic fc's Shane Broom in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tain City's goalie prevented a goal. celtic fc played a much better game than Tain City and deserved their victory. The Tain City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
