Steve McKail's late challenge caught a celtic fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steve McKail helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Elliot Kerracher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elliot Yuille hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Shane Broom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Larbert getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Troy McClymont hit a great ball. Wayne Stalker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shane Broom in the 23rd minute of the match. Elliot Yuille received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Wayne Stalker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Mark Bunten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel McThomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddie Bontein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rick Ogilvie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel McThomas scored 1-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rick Ogilvie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Rick Ogilvie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel McThomas in the 51st minute of the match. If Samuel McThomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Samuel McThomas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Larbert fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Samuel McThomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, celtic fc's Jamie McColman got a free kick in the 61st minute. Shane Broom charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shane Broom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rick Ogilvie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel McThomas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Rory Gibson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elliot Yuille showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Larbert's Samuel McThomas got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Broom in the 88th minute of play forced Larbert's goalkeeper Wayne Stalker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 played minutes celtic fc got a freekick which was hit by Elliot Kerracher. There was no doubt that Larbert were the better team. Larbert's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
