Owen Abrahams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Day having to interfere. Miles McJames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phil Summers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joshua Walker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Max McRobie charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Max McRobie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Max McRobie kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Callum Findlater kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Jim Gilchrist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joshua Walker. YELLY Nets FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of YELLY Nets FC booed when Penicuik FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miles McJames didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Phil Summers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phil Summers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Penicuik FC booed when YELLY Nets FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Callum Findlater didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miles McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Penicuik FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Owen Abrahams stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Owen Abrahams scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roy Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roy Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Abrahams in the 59th minute of play. Darren Baldwin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. YELLY Nets FC's Joshua Walker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phil Summers in the 70th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Miles McJames managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penicuik FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Miles McJames was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joshua Walker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phil Summers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. YELLY Nets FC's Joshua Walker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phil Summers in the 80th minute of play. Phil Summers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Joshua Walker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Miles McJames came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Penicuik FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miles McJames couldn't finish the play. YELLY Nets FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Phil Summers 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Joshua Walker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Summers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joshua Walker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miles McJames in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute Phil Summers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Walker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Penicuik FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
