Timmy McArthur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Declan McAslan put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kenny Hendry. In the 27th minute Declan McAslan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenny Hendry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephen Boyle succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 31st playminute. Kenny Hendry stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Declan McAslan's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After 36 minutes of play, Old Town FC's Alisdair Durrant made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenny Hendry was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Alisdair Durrant came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Old Town FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alisdair Durrant couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Old Town FC defense, Stephen Boyle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joshua Elder. The Old Town FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joshua Elder should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Declan McAslan to make the kick off. A collision led to Old Town FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Graham McKinven hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Declan McAslan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenny Hendry was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Alisdair Durrant took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Kenny Hendry to make any attempt to save it. Vincent Andrews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute of the match, Declan McAslan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kenny Hendry saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 77th minute, Alisdair Durrant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Declan McAslan lined in a short shot 3-4 behind a frustrated Kenny Hendry. 87 minutes into the match, Old Town FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Boyle came free, but Joshua Elder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Alisdair Durrant cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Kenny Hendry was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephen Boyle in the 94th minute of play forced Old Town FC's goalkeeper Joshua Elder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Old Town FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
