Aaron Thompson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Kenny Hendry 10 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ian Small's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenny Hendry was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Ross Jamieson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Kenny Hendry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ian Small fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Hendry having to interfere. After some careless play in the Falkirk F.C. defense, Fergus Gow kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kenny Hendry. The Falkirk F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kenny Hendry should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute Stephen Boyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Doig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronnie Doig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timmy McArthur's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute, Ross Jamieson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Timmy McArthur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falkirk F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Timmy McArthur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marc Marnoch's late challenge caught a Element Zero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marc Marnoch helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Marc Marnoch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vincent Andrews was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Falkirk F.C.'s Martin McOnie got a free kick in the 56th minute. The Element Zero fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Element Zero's Fergus Gow looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Aaron Thompson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Falkirk F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fergus Gow came free, but Kenny Hendry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sid McPhadden's late challenge caught a Element Zero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sid McPhadden helped the player get up and apologised. Sid McPhadden kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Ronnie Doig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Andrews in the 79th minute of play. Aaron Thompson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Hendry having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Fergus Gow managed to get in a good position for a shot. Element Zero's supporters rose to their feet, but Fergus Gow was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenny Hendry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Element Zero booed when Falkirk F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Marnoch didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Falkirk F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ross Jamieson was slow to take the kick. During this time Element Zero's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ross Jamieson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Falkirk F.C.'s Kenny Hendry did a great save.
