Rick Lambie missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 36 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Luke Bowers right hand side. 41 minutes into the match, Aidan McFater notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Denny City's Luke Bowers. Luke Bowers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jake Corstorphine struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Luke Bowers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dalbeattie. The Denny City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dalbeattie were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Jake Corstorphine made the kick off in the second half. Dalbeattie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jake Corstorphine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harold Swanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gus Clerk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Aidan McFater got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Denny City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dalbeattie were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
