Spectators: 7950 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arthur McMillan kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arthur McMillan in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luke Bowers saved Denny City from getting behind. Stuart McWhannell came free with the goalkeeper in the 5th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Richard Jamieson could save by the left post. 8 minutes into the game, Connor McKail was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Denny City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ST. JOHNS CLUB the free kick. A collision led to Denny City getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Connor McKail hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Kenny McCrouther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Bowers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Arthur McMillan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luke Bowers was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stuart McWhannell got free with Richard Jamieson in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, ST. JOHNS CLUB's goalkeeper Richard Jamieson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stuart McWhannell. Vinny Ainsworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luke Bowers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur McMillan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur McMillan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-3 became the score in the 36th minute when Kenny McCrouther elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Denny City's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur McMillan came free, but Luke Bowers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arthur McMillan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur McMillan in the 47th minute of play forced Denny City's goalkeeper Luke Bowers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harold Swanson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Harold Swanson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Jamieson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenny McCrouther in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luke Bowers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rd match minute, Denny City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Fair to maneuver through the defense. Kenny McCrouther recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Richard Jamieson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold Swanson in the 70th minute of play. Arthur McMillan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Denny City's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny McCrouther came free, but Luke Bowers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arthur McMillan struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Luke Bowers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ST. JOHNS CLUB. Kenny McCrouther received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Luke Bowers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luke Bowers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kenny McCrouther showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 79 minute of play. Luke Bowers was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Kenny McCrouther capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kenny McCrouther really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. 90 minutes into the match, Denny City's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny McCrouther came free, but Luke Bowers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denny City's Harold Swanson got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ST. JOHNS CLUB's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
