After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Alexander Whannell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexandria's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Whannell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronnie Ferries breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronnie Ferries made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Whannell in the 45th minute of play. Rory Malcolmson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim McKeith kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. Vinny Ross, 50 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rory Malcolmson was the one to do the kick off. Rory Malcolmson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ronnie Ferries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Annihilators's zone, Rory Malcolmson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Whannell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Ronnie Ferries made a huge save. A hard shot 69 in the game by Alexander Whannell from a close distance when the talented Ronnie Ferries managed to make a qualified save. Annihilators's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Rory Malcolmson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronnie Ferries was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Annihilators's Ronnie Ferries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Malcolmson in the 90th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Alexander Whannell got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ronnie Ferries made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Alexander Whannell sent off a good shot on target. The Annihilators support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
