After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Jacob Cullen managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEltiv's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacob Cullen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Robson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gordon Sanderson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Neil in the 5th minute of the match. If Jacob Cullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to CEltiv getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Peter Addison hit a great ball. Jacob Cullen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. CEltiv's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robbie Daniels during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Robbie Daniels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacob Cullen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Robson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Andy McBeath recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adam Robson. Andy McBeath showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 31st minute, Robbie Daniels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC Kennington Maroons booed when CEltiv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Addison didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Andy McBeath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Kennington Maroons's Adam Robson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy McBeath in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, FC Kennington Maroons's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Andy McBeath fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Andy McBeath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Adam Robson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

CEltiv's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kennington Maroons the free kick. In the 63rdth minute of the game Jacob Cullen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Kennington Maroons's Adam Robson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 67 played minutes FC Kennington Maroons got a freekick which was hit by Tom Ferguson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Cullen in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Robson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andy McBeath struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Adam Robson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CEltiv. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andy McBeath in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Robson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacob Cullen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Robson having to interfere. Jacob Cullen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Adam Robson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Kennington Maroons defense, Andy McBeath kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adam Robson. The FC Kennington Maroons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adam Robson should have stopped the shot. 3-0 became the score in the 87th minute when Andy McBeath elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Andy McBeath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
