Spectators: 7043 (Terracing: 5201, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andy McBeath started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Andy McBeath notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ross county FC's Brian Knox. Brian Knox was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute, Reece McQuistan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ross county FC's zone, Andy McBeath stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Knox came out of the goal and Andy McBeath tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th match minute, Ross county FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Dewar to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, CEltiv's Colin McLardie broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Jacob Cullen managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEltiv's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacob Cullen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Knox breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When CEltiv's Jacob Cullen in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ross county FC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 20 minutes, Andy McBeath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CEltiv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy McBeath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brian Knox showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy McBeath, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Ross county FC's Brian Knox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy McBeath in the 25th minute of play. Brian Knox took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Cullen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brian Knox didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andy McBeath went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andy McBeath in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brian Knox saved Ross county FC from getting behind. 42 minutes into the match, Ross county FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andy McBeath came free, but Brian Knox reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Peter Addison managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEltiv's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Addison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Knox breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

CEltiv's Gordon Sanderson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Buntain in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Andy McBeath fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 62 minutes, Jim Dewar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ross county FC and the CEltiv players grew even worse after the yellow card. Darren Banks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Knox having to interfere. With a little luck, Ross county FC's Brian Knox got control of the ball when Jacob Cullen tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Jim Dewar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. Jim Dewar hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Andy McBeath blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brian Knox having to make a save. Brian Knox showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy McBeath, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When Reece McQuistan fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ross county FC's protests and gave Reece McQuistan a yellow card for diving instead. Brian Knox had in the 82ndth minute some difficulties stopping Colin McLardie's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Darren Banks took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brian Knox. Brian Knox dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 88th play minute Jacob Cullen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Brian Knox. 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy McBeath in the 92nd minute of play forced Ross county FC's goalkeeper Brian Knox to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 played minutes Ross county FC got a freekick which was hit by Innes Dobbie. After having played for 96 minutes, Andy McBeath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CEltiv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy McBeath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 98 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Andy McBeath sped through Ross county FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brian Knox. When the match was over CEltiv could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ross county FC throughout the match.
