Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Owen Innes made the kick off which started today's match. Owen Gaunson came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lanark's Larry Hawson. But to his dismay, Larry Hawson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Gavin Bain notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lanark's Joshua Denune. Joshua Denune was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joshua Denune showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavin Bain in the 10th minute of the match. Owen Gaunson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darius McGreusich in the 12th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Strathcarron's Johnny McKelvie got a free kick in the 14th minute. Strathcarron's Owen Gaunson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Craig McTary in the 22nd minute of play. Owen Innes scored 1-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Owen Gaunson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Owen Gaunson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calum Grier in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Darius McGreusich made a precise shot to the right of Owen Gaunson. Strathcarron's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 30 minutes into the match, James Wallace had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joshua Denune. Lanark's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that James Wallace was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Joshua Denune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Wallace, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when James Wallace got free with Joshua Denune in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Owen Gaunson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Innes in the 36th minute of the match. Owen Gaunson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calum Grier in the 37th minute of play. In the 44th minute Owen Innes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Gaunson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Strathcarron players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lanark were winning 2-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and James Wallace made a kick off. Calum Grier kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Bob Gibb charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 61st minute, Owen Innes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Owen Gaunson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. After 65 played minutes Strathcarron got a freekick which was hit by Jeremy Dickson. 72 minutes into the match, Strathcarron's goalkeeper Owen Gaunson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Calum Grier. Owen Gaunson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Innes in the 73rd minute of play. Strathcarron's Owen Gaunson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Craig McTary in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Strathcarron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Wallace to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius McGreusich in the 78th minute of play forced Strathcarron's goalkeeper Owen Gaunson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Owen Gaunson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owen Innes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Strathcarron's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Owen Innes scored to the left of an out of position Owen Gaunson, making the score, 2-6. In the 86th minute Craig McTary shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Gaunson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Strathcarron's Owen Gaunson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Owen Innes in the 89th minute of play. Joshua Denune took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavin Bain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ross McErracher hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Owen Innes, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Owen Gaunson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darius McGreusich showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 95 minute of play. The Strathcarron fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lanark were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
