Spectators: 8085 (Terracing: 6065, Seating: 1859, VIP seats: 161) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adrian King started the match with the kick off. Roddie McGuaran kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Argyll Highlanders's Evan McColman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reece Docharty in the 5th minute of play. With his leg Alexander Lindsay managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Argyll Highlanders's Adrian King fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arthur McCririe kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Gregor Armstrong might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evan McColman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gregor Armstrong ran back to his position shaking his head. Kelty's Alexander Lindsay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Kelty from getting a goal against them. Roddie McGuaran charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roddie McGuaran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, one of Argyll Highlanders:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Argyll Highlanders. Argyll Highlanders's Evan McColman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Morris in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Callum Morris in the 46th minute of play forced Argyll Highlanders's goalkeeper Evan McColman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Callum Morris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evan McColman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Archie Finlay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. In the 56thth minute of the game Aidan McMurray who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kelty's Alexander Lindsay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gregor Armstrong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Evan McColman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Callum Morris fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Callum Morris in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evan McColman saved Argyll Highlanders from getting behind. A collision led to Argyll Highlanders getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Nicholas McCluskie hit a great ball. Gregor Armstrong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Evan McColman made a huge save. After 71 minutes, Tyler Innes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Argyll Highlanders and the Kelty players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Argyll Highlanders's Tyler Innes got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Argyll Highlanders booed when Kelty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paddy Bean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregor Armstrong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gregor Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Archie Finlay scored 0-4 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evan McColman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Argyll Highlanders defense, Archie Finlay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evan McColman. The Argyll Highlanders fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evan McColman should have stopped the shot. Kelty played a much better game than Argyll Highlanders and deserved their victory. The Argyll Highlanders players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
