Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Martin King got the match started through his kick off. Benjamin Duncanson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Innes in the 2nd minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Lanark's goal looked a bit too open when Grant McKeggie came free, but Joshua Denune reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Duncanson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owen Innes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calum Grier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Benjamin Duncanson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Cairndow City's Martin King in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lanark's goalie prevented a goal. Calum Grier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Benjamin Duncanson made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin King in the 26th minute of play forced Lanark's goalkeeper Joshua Denune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calum Grier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Benjamin Duncanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Cairndow City's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Innes came free, but Benjamin Duncanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cairndow City booed when Lanark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darius McGreusich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grant McKeggie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joshua Denune having to make a save. Neil McLea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lanark's Craig McTary suffered a sore thigh after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Lanark made a substitution. Dominic Dyce replaced Craig McTary. Jay Low hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Owen Innes made the kick off in the second half. Owen Innes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Miles Hewitt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cairndow City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanark the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cairndow City's Miles Hewitt got a free kick in the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cairndow City's zone, Calum Grier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Duncanson came out of the goal and Calum Grier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grant McKeggie hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Dominic Dyce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Jay Low hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cairndow City's Benjamin Duncanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calum Grier in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dominic Dyce in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Duncanson saved Cairndow City from getting behind. Larry Hawson lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lanark fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Joshua Denune took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin King, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darius McGreusich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
