Spectators: 8040 (Terracing: 6031, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 160) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Martin King took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Cairndow City booed when Argyll Highlanders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roddie McGuaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argyll Highlanders's goalkeeper Evan McColman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Murray McTire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Grant McKeggie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evan McColman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Grant McKeggie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Evan McColman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrian King was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Argyll Highlanders's zone, Jay Low stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evan McColman came out of the goal and Jay Low tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Argyll Highlanders's Evan McColman got control of the ball when Grant McKeggie tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cairndow City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
