Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Callum Morris made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute of the match Michael Simson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexander Lindsay skillfully saved the ball. If Michael Simson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Kelty's Richard McWhannell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Owen Gaunson. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. In the 9th match minute, Kelty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny McPhadden to maneuver through the defense. Michael Simson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Alexander Lindsay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Simson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Lindsay having to interfere. Alexander Lindsay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Smith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregor Armstrong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Gaunson having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Strathcarron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Smith to maneuver through the defense. Strathcarron's Owen Gaunson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Morris in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Strathcarron getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Matt Smith hit a great ball. Kelty's Gregor Armstrong got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Callum Morris kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Owen Gaunson. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Owen Gaunson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Callum Morris in the 30th minute of play. Strathcarron's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Callum Morris 38 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. In the 42nd minute, Michael Simson made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Lindsay. Kelty's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michael Simson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Strathcarron's Luke Gowrie got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Kelty getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Paddy Bean hit a great ball. Matt Smith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Alexander Lindsay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Lindsay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Smith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Callum Morris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Owen Gaunson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michael Simson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Lindsay having to interfere. Owen Gaunson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archie Finlay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute Gregor Armstrong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Gaunson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Owen Gaunson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dougal Cross in the 78th minute of play. Kelty's Archie Finlay got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Strathcarron's Owen Gaunson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Morris in the 88th minute of play. Strathcarron's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
