Chris Fairbairn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricky McFater received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Benjamin Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shane Davenport in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Hughes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Shane Davenport might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Hughes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shane Davenport ran back to his position shaking his head. After 12th play minutes Ricky McFater shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Benjamin Hughes and just under the crossbar into goal. Ricky McFater struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Benjamin Hughes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orkney. After 20 played minutes Orkney got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Yule. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Wilson during the 22nd minute. Dribbling Skills FC's Benjamin Hughes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Dribbling Skills FC from getting a goal against them. Shane Davenport recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Hughes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane Davenport in the 39th minute of play. Benjamin Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shane Davenport, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes in the game, Shane Davenport fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benjamin Hughes having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Shane Davenport managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orkney's supporters rose to their feet, but Shane Davenport was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Hughes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shane Davenport to strike the kick off in the second half. Dribbling Skills FC's Benjamin Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Davenport in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Ricky McFater made a precise shot to the right of Benjamin Hughes. Dribbling Skills FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shane Davenport in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Euan Loudoun's late challenge caught a Orkney's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Euan Loudoun helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, Dribbling Skills FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Euan Loudoun to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Orkney's Nick McCay broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the Dribbling Skills FC defense, Dominic Yule kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Hughes. The Dribbling Skills FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Hughes should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Yule in the 82nd minute of play forced Dribbling Skills FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
