Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Shane Davenport took the kick off in the first half of the match. Chris Fairbairn came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Glasgow Elfs FC's Terence McGhee. But to his dismay, Terence McGhee quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jacob Griesck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shane Davenport, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Terence McGhee came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Glasgow Elfs FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terence McGhee couldn't finish the play. When Ricky McFater came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Orkney fans jumped to their feet. Jacob Griesck was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the game, Jim Roy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Chris Fairbairn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 38 minutes into the match, Glasgow Elfs FC's goalkeeper Jacob Griesck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricky McFater. Shane Davenport was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Orkney's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Glasgow Elfs FC's goalkeeper Jacob Griesck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, Orkney's Ricky McFater nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacob Griesck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After a rather tough play, Glasgow Elfs FC's Frankie Brown got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Terence McGhee made a kick off. Frankie Brown's late challenge caught a Orkney's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frankie Brown helped the player get up and apologised. If Ricky McFater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shane Davenport received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jacob Griesck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shane Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th match minute, Glasgow Elfs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Lennie to maneuver through the defense. Nick McCay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacob Griesck. Glasgow Elfs FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Davenport in the 71st minute of play forced Glasgow Elfs FC's goalkeeper Jacob Griesck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shane Davenport fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Griesck having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Ricky McFater got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Glasgow Elfs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky McFater came free, but Jacob Griesck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shane Davenport fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Griesck having to interfere. Jacob Griesck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricky McFater went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Jacob Griesck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky McFater in the 85th minute of play. Ricky McFater received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jacob Griesck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Shane Davenport shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Griesck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Nick McUlric was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glasgow Elfs FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orkney the free kick. The supporters of Orkney booed when Glasgow Elfs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick McUlric didn't get a good kick on the ball.
