After 2 minutes, Callum McQuarrie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tradition Ways AFC and the Mauchline players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mauchline booed when Tradition Ways AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Callum McQuarrie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tim McInroy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Edward Archibald made a huge save. In the 11th minute, Tradition Ways AFC's Greg McCorkle dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Greg McCorkle took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Edward Archibald to make any attempt to save it. Tim McInroy's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Edward Archibald skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 28th minute, Tim McInroy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edward Archibald was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Greg McCorkle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Edward Archibald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Low's late challenge caught a Tradition Ways AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Low helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mauchline's Samuel Low got a free kick in the 34th minute. Tim McInroy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Archibald having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Greg McCorkle made a kick off. Samuel Low received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rafal Glapiak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angus Swanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Mauchline's Samuel Low sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafal Glapiak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Mauchline's Samuel Low broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rafal Glapiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Low in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Angus Swanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 69 minutes, Greg McCorkle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tradition Ways AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Greg McCorkle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Greg McCorkle notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Mauchline's Edward Archibald. Edward Archibald was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edward Archibald didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tim McInroy went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute Tim McInroy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Archibald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Tim McInroy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tradition Ways AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Angus Swanson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mauchline's supporters rose to their feet, but Angus Swanson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafal Glapiak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Tradition Ways AFC's Rafal Glapiak got control of the ball when Samuel Low tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Samuel Low had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tradition Ways AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mauchline had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
