Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alex Moodie kicked off to start the match. Nathan Malcolm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Moodie, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Finlay McAulay charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Finlay McAulay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cromarty's Finlay McAulay got a free kick in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ter Tawse during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ter Tawse hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Nathan Malcolm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Christie in the 15th minute of the match. Ronnie McCombie's late challenge caught a Huntly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronnie McCombie helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cromarty getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ronnie McCombie hit a great ball. Sam Christie scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nathan Malcolm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacob Fox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Declan Hutchison in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cromarty's Josh McNish got a free kick in the 39th minute. 41 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Huntly's Alex Moodie fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Cromarty's Nathan Malcolm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Moodie in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Cromarty were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Huntly's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lloyd Patrick took the corner. The corner led Cromarty's Lloyd Patrick to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacob Fox despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alex Moodie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Malcolm having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Huntly's Sam Christie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nathan Malcolm made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 61st minute Alex Moodie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan Malcolm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cromarty's Nathan Malcolm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Moodie in the 62nd minute of play. Nathan Malcolm made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Sam Christie sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 65 minutes, Alex Moodie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huntly's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Moodie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sam Christie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, one of Huntly:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Huntly. Ronald Innie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacob Fox read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Alex Moodie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Fox came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Cromarty's Declan Hutchison. But to his dismay, Declan Hutchison quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
