After a rather tough play, FC MUMIN's Rob Kinnell got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Troy Howison who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lochgelly United's Eddie Ashmore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stuart Tawesson in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eddie Ashmore saved Lochgelly United from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Tawesson in the 39th minute of play forced Lochgelly United's goalkeeper Eddie Ashmore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stuart Tawesson came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the FC MUMIN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stuart Tawesson couldn't finish the play. Troy Howison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Eddie Ashmore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Forest in the 51st minute. Stevie Alder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Eddie Ashmore made a huge save. Stuart Tawesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Ashmore having to interfere. Eddie Ashmore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stevie Alder went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Stuart Tawesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC MUMIN's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
