The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Graeme McRaith could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Jake Evans made a huge save. Graeme McRaith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jake Evans having to interfere. If Graeme McRaith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Shaun Foulis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jake Evans, 1-0. Graeme McRaith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jake Evans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Westhill's Shaun Foulis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jake Evans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Dalmally's goalkeeper Jake Evans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dean Lenny. In the 30th minute, Sean Raith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dalmally's goalkeeper Jake Evans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Westhill's Shaun Foulis came free and shot a quick shot against goal 37 minutes in the game, fortunately Jake Evans had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Graeme McRaith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jake Evans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shaun Foulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dalmally's goalkeeper Jake Evans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Dalmally defense, Shaun Foulis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jake Evans. The Dalmally fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jake Evans should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shaun Foulis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jake Evans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shaun Foulis's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 70th minute Andrew Paul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Evans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shaun Foulis in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jake Evans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Westhill fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Westhill's Shaun Foulis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Andrew Paul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd minute, Shaun Foulis made a precise shot to the right of Jake Evans. Dalmally's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When Andrew Paul came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Westhill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrew Paul couldn't finish the play. Graeme McRaith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jake Evans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Shaun Foulis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jake Evans was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 91st minute Andrew Paul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Evans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Graeme McRaith managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westhill's supporters rose to their feet, but Graeme McRaith was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jake Evans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 97 minutes into the match, Dalmally's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Towart came free, but Jake Evans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jake Evans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shaun Foulis's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Westhill were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dalmally for a fine match.
