Logan McKerras kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Malcolm Cooke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phillip Gregory in the 12th minute. After 13 played minutes Manic Harlequins got a freekick which was hit by Ron Donachie. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Elliot Swan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea City's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliot Swan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm Cooke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Phillip Gregory kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Malcolm Cooke. That made the score 3-0 in the 15 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Chelsea City's Malcolm Cooke threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elliot Swan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Phillip Gregory put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Malcolm Cooke. Manic Harlequins's attentive Alan McGeachin managed to snatch the ball when Edmond McGillivour made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Pitta in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matthew Buchanan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Logan McKerras hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Manic Harlequins's Osvaldo Pitta took a good shot, in the 47th minute, which hit the crossbar above Matthew Buchanan's head, and flew over the goal. Chelsea City's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Manic Harlequins.

Malcolm Cooke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip Gregory, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Elliot Swan might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Malcolm Cooke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elliot Swan ran back to his position shaking his head. Manic Harlequins's Malcolm Cooke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Swan in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute Phillip Gregory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Cooke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chelsea City booed when Manic Harlequins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan McGeachin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Elliot Swan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Cooke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manic Harlequins's Malcolm Cooke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Wharrie in the 70th minute of play. Malcolm Cooke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phillip Gregory's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Shaun Grant cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Malcolm Cooke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Malcolm Cooke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip Gregory in the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Phillip Gregory managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea City's supporters rose to their feet, but Phillip Gregory was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm Cooke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chelsea City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
