Spectators: 8160 (Terracing: 6121, Seating: 1877, VIP seats: 162) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Shaun Foulis took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Shaun Foulis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fergus Kellie. Garve's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shaun Foulis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Shaun Foulis scored 2-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fergus Kellie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Shaun Foulis, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 11 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fergus Kellie was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Andrew Paul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicholas McVail came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Garve's Jack McNiven. But to his dismay, Jack McNiven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Shaun Fouliss short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Fergus Kellie to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Shaun Foulis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Fergus Kellie 27 minutes into the match. Shaun Foulis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fergus Kellie firmly grabbed it by the left post. 32 minutes into the match, Garve's goalkeeper Fergus Kellie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shaun Foulis. Fergus Kellie was a little too slow when Graeme McRaith got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 4-1. Andrew Paul in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fergus Kellie, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fergus Kellie made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Shaun Foulis sent off a good shot on target. 44 minutes into the match, Garve's goalkeeper Fergus Kellie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shaun Foulis. When Edward McGorrie fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garve's protests and gave Edward McGorrie a yellow card for diving instead. Edward McGorrie hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicky McDonleavy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Westhill's Robert Towart got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Garve's Fergus Kellie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shaun Foulis in the 59th minute of play. In the 68th minute Graeme McRaith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Kellie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruce McOmish kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Garve's Fergus Kellie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shaun Foulis in the 71st minute of play. After 75 played minutes, Westhill's Freddie McRobie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fergus Kellie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Westhill reached it. Freddie McRobie took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fergus Kellie. Garve's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nicky McDonleavy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nicholas McVail tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shaun Foulis in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fergus Kellie saved Garve from getting behind. Fergus Kellie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shaun Foulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Westhill's Graeme McRaith nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fergus Kellie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Westhill walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
