Spectators: 6840 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute of the match, Nicol McKinney got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sid Gray was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jordan McCansh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Ardrossan booed when Huntly AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Lamb didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wal Cleland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Derek McBeath in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Roberts saved Ardrossan from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Eddie McGregor made a precise shot to the right of Alex Roberts. Ardrossan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Wal Cleland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 25 played minutes Huntly AFC got a freekick which was hit by Liam Dunlop. Ardrossan's Alex Roberts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derek McBeath in the 28th minute of play. Ardrossan's Wal Cleland got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Ardrossan's goal looked a bit too open when Derek McBeath came free, but Alex Roberts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Wal Cleland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sid Gray. Huntly AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wal Cleland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Ray Beattie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Huntly AFC's James Lamb couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ardrossan. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eddie McGregor in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Roberts saved Ardrossan from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wal Cleland to strike the kick off in the second half. Sid Gray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wal Cleland, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Ardrossan's Wal Cleland got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jordan McCansh in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sid Gray saved Huntly AFC from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Nicol McKinney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Derek McBeath in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Roberts saved Ardrossan from getting behind. Alex Roberts stood somewhat misplaced when Derek McBeath came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 61 minute. A collision led to Huntly AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Greg Limond hit a great ball. Derek McBeath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Derek McBeath in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Roberts saved Ardrossan from getting behind. After 93 played minutes Huntly AFC got a freekick which was hit by Graeme Mason. After 95 played minutes, Ardrossan's Steven McVarish shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sid Gray came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ardrossan reached it. A collision led to Ardrossan getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Wal Cleland hit a great ball. The Ardrossan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Huntly AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Huntly AFC.
