The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Cameron Sutherland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PRIME UTD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huntly AFC the free kick. Cameron Sutherland hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liam Burk in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sid Gray prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute, Gavin Adamson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PRIME UTD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gavin Adamson struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Sid Gray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PRIME UTD. After 14 minutes, Martin Bontein mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huntly AFC and the PRIME UTD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martin Bontein kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Sid Gray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavin Adamson in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Huntly AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gavin Adamson came free, but Sid Gray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Burk in the 36th minute of play forced Huntly AFC's goalkeeper Sid Gray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Liam Burk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PRIME UTD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Gavin Adamson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sid Gray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of PRIME UTD booed when Huntly AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alisdair McOran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liam Burk took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sid Gray. Sid Gray dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.

Derek McBeath might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy McNee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derek McBeath ran back to his position shaking his head. Liam Burks short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Sid Gray to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sid Gray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavin Adamson in the 58th minute. In the 59th match minute, PRIME UTD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murray Finlay to maneuver through the defense. Eddie McGregor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sid Gray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Burk in the 68th minute of the match. Sid Gray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liam Burk's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Eddie McGregor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tommy McNee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liam Burk was extremely unlucky when he, in the 80th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Gavin Adamson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavin Adamson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Sid Gray made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, PRIME UTD's goal looked a bit too open when Derek McBeath came free, but Tommy McNee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PRIME UTD walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
