In the 28th match minute, Balloch Gers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter McIlleriach to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris McKinning got free with Iain McKelloch in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin McRobert in the 34th minute of play forced Balloch Gers's goalkeeper Iain McKelloch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Club Atlético Strachur's Benjamin McRobert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iain McKelloch. Iain McKelloch yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Thomas Griesck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Benjamin McRobert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Balloch Gers's zone, Benjamin McRobert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iain McKelloch came out of the goal and Benjamin McRobert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamin McRobert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iain McKelloch having to interfere. Thomas Griesck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nigel Oliver in the 86th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atlético Strachur getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Christopher McBheath hit a great ball. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Strachur's goalkeeper Thomas Griesck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iain McKelloch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris McKinning in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Club Atlético Strachur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Connall to maneuver through the defense. Steve Storie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Thomas Griesck made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Balloch Gers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
