Andy McWhannell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Oliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nigel Oliver was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Andy McWhannell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nigel Oliver scored 2-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andy McWhannell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Taylor Randolf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iain McKelloch having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nigel Oliver to make the kick off. Andy McWhannell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Steve Storie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alex Inches hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as AKS Strzegom's Eric Coull slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iain McKelloch. That made the score 2-1 after 65 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in AKS Strzegom's zone, Nigel Oliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andy McWhannell came out of the goal and Nigel Oliver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ewan McGilbert hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Balloch Gers's Adam Dis tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Taylor Randolf managed to get in a good position for a shot. AKS Strzegom's supporters rose to their feet, but Taylor Randolf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iain McKelloch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Chris Caw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Taylor Randolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
