Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 162) Bradley McFergus made the kick off and thus started the match. Declan McGrewar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradley McFergus in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 minutes, Lloyd May mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glasgow Celtic and the Dundee United Football players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Lloyd May hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glasgow Celtic's Declan McGrewar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Glasgow Celtic from getting a goal against them. Declan McGrewar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradley McFergus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Dean Lewis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bradley McFergus scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Declan McGrewar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 19 played minutes Glasgow Celtic got a freekick which was hit by Tom Clanachan. Declan McGrewar was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bradley McFergus. After 21 minutes, Neil Weaver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glasgow Celtic and the Dundee United Football players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Glasgow Celtic's Neil Weaver got a free kick in the 21st minute. Declan McGrewar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Combie in the 23rd minute. Tom Clanachan kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 27th play minutes Bradley McFergus shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Declan McGrewar and just under the crossbar into goal. Declan McGrewar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tim McCook in the 31st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Declan McGrewar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Glasgow Celtic defense, Jonathan Combie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Declan McGrewar. The Glasgow Celtic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Declan McGrewar should have stopped the shot. Billy McWilliam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradley McFergus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Declan McGrewar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alisdair White to strike the kick off in the second half. Billy McWilliam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darius Elliott read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dundee United Football's Derek Fairbairn got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Declan McGrewar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim McCook, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bradley McFergus in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Declan McGrewar saved Glasgow Celtic from getting behind. Declan McGrewar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Combie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Dundee United Football's goalkeeper Darius Elliott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Billy McWilliam. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Bradley McFergus sped through Glasgow Celtic's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Declan McGrewar. Declan McGrewar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bradley McFergus's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Declan McGrewar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley McFergus, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Bradley McFergus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Declan McGrewar was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After 79 played minutes Dundee United Football got a freekick which was hit by Bradley McFergus. 82 minutes into the game, James McAulay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dundee United Football's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glasgow Celtic the free kick. After 84 played minutes Glasgow Celtic got a freekick which was hit by Lloyd May. Glasgow Celtic's Declan McGrewar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim McCook in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Raymond Henderson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Declan McGrewar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Declan McGrewar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradley McFergus in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dundee United Football fully deserved thier win.
