Spectators: 6861 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1861, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lee McEwan kicked off to start the match. Lee McEwan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward McNey having to interfere. Great Britain LIONS FC's Alexander Bonar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Lawrie in the 11th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Lee McEwan put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edward McNey. A collision led to Great Britain LIONS FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Malcolm McIvor hit a great ball. The supporters of Great Britain LIONS FC booed when Glenrothes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Reid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lee McEwan took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edward McNey. Edward McNey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Colin Elder kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Andrew Tyre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edward McNey. Glenrothes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ryan Fowler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lee McEwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lee McEwan in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edward McNey saved Glenrothes from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Lee McEwan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edward McNey was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Sam Gray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Lawrie made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Lee McEwan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edward McNey. Glenrothes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lee McEwan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Lee McEwan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Colin Elder fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glenrothes's protests and gave Colin Elder a yellow card for diving instead. Sam Gray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward McNey having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Lee McEwan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edward McNey. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 80th minute, Andrew Tyre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Glenrothes's zone, Lee McEwan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward McNey came out of the goal and Lee McEwan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Lee McEwan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edward McNey was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 89th minute Lee McEwan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward McNey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sam Gray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward McNey having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Lee McEwan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edward McNey. Glenrothes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lee McEwan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Great Britain LIONS FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
